Casa de Luz Our Vision: To launch and sustain Educational Centers and Community Outreach Centers throughout the nation of Honduras. Our centers will be safe havens for at-risk children and their family members and will be staffed by safe, well-trained leaders who understand the complex needs of families living in abject poverty. This will allow us to leverage our experience and extend our current footprint enabling us to empower, equip and educate thousands of Honduran children, their families and their respective communities.
The Mission: To provide excellent quality child care and academic enrichment for at-risk children while ministering to their families and their communities through programs which promote education, nutrition, health, emotional growth and spiritual development. Foundation Casa de Luz provides a secure, dynamic and loving environment for young children. It also offers teens and adults opportunities to improve their quality of life through programs designed for personal and educational growth. Young children participate in Early Childhood Stimulation activities while older children enjoy Academic Enrichment classes which allow students to excel in their formal public education and expand their knowledge base. All ministry services are FREE! ESL classes, Reading, Math, Science, Arts & Crafts, Interactive Play, music, Bible classes, Large Motor & Fine Motor activities and dance are all part of a typical day at Foundation Casa de Luz Christian Education Centers. The nutritional needs of children living in poverty are satisfied as more than 43,000 nutritious meals are served each year in two distinct Foundation Casa de Luz ministry campuses.
